Requirements:

The role holder will ensure that the Home, kitchen and preparation area is always kept clean and tidy, providing a high-quality service and high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures. Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of nutritious meals for children in the home & school.

  • Maintaining high standard of cleanliness throughout the building as directed by the Home Manager, whilst always respecting the privacy of the staff within the offices and being mindful of any private meetings and conversations taking place.
  • Safe use, handling and storage of all COSHH related agents and reporting any maintenance issues. Always follow food hygiene and safety regulations. Assist in maintaining accurate records of food storage temperatures, cleaning rotas, and stock levels.
  • To ensure that cleaning aids are restocked as appropriate at the end of a shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy. To take responsibility of ensuring we are always fully stocked and to inform the Home Manager as and when required.
  • Attend staff meetings and company training as and when required.
  • Represent the professional integrity of Young Foundations ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and hygiene are delivered.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
  • Be familiar with relevant Young Foundations policies and practices and ensure that they are always adhered to.
  • To ensure that all the necessary documentation is completed daily. Support in planning menus under the supervision of the cook.
  • Always maintain confidentiality regarding personal, staffing and resident matters.

Located in Halifax, Stafford Hall School accommodates 12 pupil and can teach up to 20 young people from the ages of 11 to 19. We are able to support young people with autism and learning difficulties. We have high aspirations for our pupils and strive relentlessly to improve relationships between all those who work with children and young people to ensure they feel valued and safe.

Stafford Hall School caters for children and young people who have autism, severe and complex learning difficulties and who exhibit associated challenging behaviours.

The school can accommodate up to 12 children and young people from ages 11 to 19. The school is mixed gender and non-denominational.
