To care, support, develop and empower young people with complex difficulties to realise their potential in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. This is achieved through a holistic model of care which is distinctive of compassion, skill and evidence based positive intervention.
At The Red House, we provide a high level of service provision based on the principles of the National Care Standards and encompass the key outcomes of GIRFEC, National Practice Model and Curriculum for Excellence.
Our aim at The Red House is to improve the life of children, we believe that children have the right to a safe and fun childhood and one that creates positive happy memories.
Getting it Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) underpins practice at The Red House, this is evidenced at every stage of our support planning system from assessment to review. GIRFEC provides the framework from which services are expected to plan, implement and review against. The SHANARRI indicators cover all aspects required for the child’s developing well-being. This has been fully implemented within The Red House with evidence of consolidation of theory and practice evident throughout the service.
