Experienced Residential Childcare Worker/ RNLD/RMN
The Red House is a specialist step down service for young people with complex presentations. The young people we look after have often spent periods in secure or in-patient adolescent psychiatric services. The home is a five bedded service and operates to a high standard, currently rated as excellent by the Care Inspectorate. All of our homes in Young Foundations are supported by Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry. The home works within trauma informed models of care and has at its basis strong interpersonal relationships and positive psychology.
Due to on-going growth and development within the organisation, we are looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead and develop the service delivering consistent and outstanding levels of quality. The manager will develop and implement a vision for the delivery of a high quality, clinically informed service at The Red House and ensure that standards are maintained within the regulatory framework of the Care Inspectorate.
The Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall efficiency and quality of care delivery including the management of an experienced and skilled staff team and promotion of the work undertaken at The Red House externally through the maintenance of key stakeholder relationships with external agencies. The Registered Manager will be accountable directly to the Regional Manager and will work closely with the rest of the Young Foundations operational management team to develop a culture of practice excellence.
Application is invited from those who have significant experience in working within Children’s Residential care or similar. You will have significant experience of young people in a similar specialist environment. To hold this post the candidate must have or be able to achieve successful SSSC registration to the level of Registered Manager.
