The Red House:


The vision we share at the Red House is to be a safe, stable, caring, nurturing and fun environment where the experience is akin to a large family home.

Part of Young Foundations, The Red House is a specialist provision for children and young people, who have a range of identified complex and challenging needs such as Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Issues and other health needs.


We strive to be a containing environment with a therapeutic approach underpinned by an understanding of trauma.

We have a fierce determination to understand our children and young people and support them to make sense of their journey, to heal and to step forward toward achieving their potential. 

The Role:


As a genuinely caring and highly motivated Senior Residential Support Worker you should embody our goals in improving the lives of our children and young people in a residential setting.

You will support the care team, deputy manager and manager in developing the service, contributing to positive outcomes for the children and young people and the service as a whole.

You will have experience of supporting children or adults in a similar environment. It is essential for the applicant to hold the relevant Diploma 3 / 4 qualification for residential childcare.

This programme allows the part funding of Young Foundations employees, to follow University programmes of work based education, that will lead to FdA and later BA (Honours) qualifications in Therapeutic Childcare.
